Built for the people doing the real work.
HL Dynamics exists because technical R&D is hard enough without operational chaos making it harder.
Our Story
The gap between where ambitious R&D programs are trying to go and the operational clarity needed to get there is one of the most expensive problems in technical work — and one of the least addressed.
Most organizations know the gap exists. What’s harder to find is support that actually understands the environment: the uncertainty, the iteration, the under-resourced teams carrying outsized expectations, and the particular challenge of managing work that’s never been done before.
HL Dynamics was founded to close that gap. With a background rooted in chemical and materials engineering and technical project management across aerospace, defense, biotech, energy, and materials industries, our founder has spent years embedded in exactly these environments — as a design engineer, engineering manager, and program manager — and has seen firsthand what unclear plans and poorly informed timelines cost real teams.
That experience is the foundation of how we work. We don’t consult from a distance. We embed, build collaboratively, and leave behind operational structures that belong entirely to the teams who use them.
Founder Introduction
HL Dynamics was founded by Hailey Prendergast, a chemical and materials engineer with years of experience leading technical R&D programs across aerospace, defense, biotech, energy, and materials.
How We Work
Every engagement starts with listening. We come in to understand your team’s priorities, constraints, existing expertise, and the specific way your work unfolds — because operational structure that doesn’t fit the environment it lives in doesn’t last.
What we build is always collaborative. The people doing the work shape the solution. Our fingerprints don’t show up in the final product — theirs do.
That’s not just a philosophy. It’s what makes the work stick.
Who We Serve
HL Dynamics works with technical R&D organizations across industry and academia — from aerospace and defense programs to university research centers to biotech and energy teams. Our clients share a common profile: talented people doing serious work, navigating the operational complexity that comes with it.
We are a woman-owned small business based in Ogden, Utah, serving organizations across the United States.
